It is not every day that we find ourselves with an opportunity to shoot in the home and on the plantation of a former President of the United States. In October, we had the incredible pleasure of shooting Sean & Kristen’s wedding at the Hermitage, the home and plantation of President Andrew Jackson, here in Nashville, TN.  What made the day even more special is that Sean is a soldier in the United States Marines Corp and was scheduled to deploy within 2 weeks of their wedding. It was poetic to be shooting the wedding of a soldier in the home of a former United States President.

At one point, I was shooting some photos of Kristen looking out of the window in the front room of the house and looked over her shoulder to see a painting of President Andrew Jackson. In that moment, I began to imagine President Jackson standing in that same room looking out over the front yard of the home appreciating the beauty of the afternoon sun over the hills and trees of Tennessee.

Needless to say, their wedding was an unbelievably beautiful event. Everything, down to the smallest detail, was perfectly suited for their wedding. Here is a short list of some of the vendors that made their wedding so perfect.
